This year we have completed two major projects:
The refurbishing of our cisterns and refinishing of our main pool.
The cistern project was an actual overhauling of our whole water system. Each cistern was drained, thoroughly powerwashed, repaired resealed and recoated. After this was done each building was fitted with a new more powerful water pump giving much more water pressure to the units. It was a project that cost more than $100,000 and was made possible with our Capital Improvement fund.
The next project was the refinishing of our main pool. There were a few repairs needed so we went ahead and gave it a whole new look.
The pool was emptied and the tiles were removed. Once the tiles were removed, the surface was thoroughly cleaned and all necessary repairs were made. The pool was then refinished with a Cool Blue Diamond Brite finish and some new tile. We are now adding a Salt Chlorine generator along with a larger pump and an additional filter to keep the water sparkling. The smaller pool is also being set up with a Salt Chlorine Generator. Upon completion both pools will be run by an automated system that will be monitored by our grounds keepers. The cost of the pool project was approx. $30,000 also made possible by our Capital Improvement fund.
We are starting to focus on our upcoming projects for next year. The projects we are considering are; refinishing of the smaller pool, resurfacing of the tennis courts, repairing the roadways and several other smaller items. We have also been looking into the possibilities of alternate energy sources and a generator for the property.
